the lord is good and waits for everyone in his good time.  far be it for him to work according to our timelines instead of his own which is good and perfect in every way.  it is all planned out according to the best possible way.  we can only see a snapshot of time and for us it may seem like life makes no sense and that we are being unnecessarily hurt but i think in the long run, he teaches us and shapes us to become more godly men and women.  follow the lord and trust in his promise.  there is no covenant stronger than that. regardless of what the world says, he is there.  and to me that is the strongest certainty of them all.

as the lord is patient with you, be patient for others.  not everyone sees him or comes to him at the same time.  and they have their own stories of coming to faith--that i should hope. but it means that i can be patient.  and i want to learn it.  more and more, you teach me what it means to love and how far that can and should go.

Examples

Living in touch with the Lord and only his ways will lead to many blessings. The only thing I can hope for is the strength to follow God and pursue his heart with all my heart and all my strength with all my mind with all my heart and with all my soul.

Teach me to live according to your ways. Teach me to be more and more like you everyday. Encourage me in drawing upon you for strength. Encourage me in reading more of your word every day. I must make a commitment to you and still love you like none other. If I can pursue you with all my heart, then maybe I can have a better shot at the blessed designs you have in mind for me.

This,  I can only hope for.  In my dreams, I'm living the life you have in mind for me already .  I can't wait.

Last to be First

the righteous will live and if the first come last and the last become first then the key thing is to be a servant to others and that would bring us to be the best disciples possible.

what i really need is to humble myself before others and forget about being better or anything like that.  if i can be loving and giving of myself (within limits?) then i can become a better person closer to you.

Home Base

the lord will never forsake me.  i can always depend on him to pick me up and to return me to him as long as i am willing to go and follow his lead.  this is the biggest thing.  whenever i stray too far away, i can count on the Lord to be there for me.  i have a home base.  the earth is full of his unfailing love....that means--that means that i can have hope in being able to find others who walk in his image, too. to the best of their ability anyhow.  that gives me something to believe in.  there is some form of good.  He establishes all authority on earth, and in that, i can take heart.  Every little thing in life has a reason and there will be some love at the end of the tunnel.

Even when all around there is no righteousness or justice to be found, take it upon yourself to mirror the Lord and reveal that glory.  Be a dock in a sea of darkness.

Salvation from Yourself

the blessings that God has in store for those that actively pursue him is boundless. follow him and turn neither left nor right.  you will see like never before.  your life will be amazing.  he will show you what you were missing out on all along while you were a child and didn't see your own sin.  now you're growing up and gradually, hopefully more and more, you will begin to understand why you need him so desperately.  what He can do for you.  what he's saving you from.  from yourself.  yourself in all your wickedness.  this, you need more than anything.

Going back

be humble in everything.  people have no need to know the most intimate details.   they only need to know the minimum, especially when your "goodness" is concerned.  be subtle.

in real life applications, you really don't need to ask about opinions on other's work ethics.  it's seriously unnecessary.  you can leave that subject alone and people will still notice what you are like and make their own comparisons.  you'll be seen by what they see.  you don't need to ask about what they see in others in order to make a point about yourself in contrast.  seriously.that's the thing first and foremost.

the other thing is that it's about time that you start coming back around to God, child.  this is one of those next steps.  going back to writing everyday.  it's important to communicate with God.  I don't know why you suddenly and rather randomly stopped but that's no good.  write and transcribe those parts of the bible.  it's a good thing to get back into.  this is dialogue.  and i just hope that you will strengthen your relationship with the Lord your God once again then.
